  After reading   We Are Data by John Chenney -Lippold, I was met with a variety of emotions, both fascinated and fearful, impressed and horrified. I have always been aware that the internet is not a welcoming place for those that do not understand how it operates, especially when it comes to retaining, sharing, and publicizing users ’ data. Never would I have thought that every facet of my own existence , such as my face, my name, my habit s , or even my emotion   could be extracted and turn ed into relevant data that benefits different divisions w ithin the digitalized world. Welcome to my Blog

    First off, a brief introduction about myself. My name is Phuc Nguyen, I am a currently in my 4th year here at University of South Florida (USF). Me and my family originally came over from Vietnam and we have been residents of the sunshine state for roughly eight years now. Of course, being a foreign student there were quite a bit of things that were unfamiliar to me at first, such as culture, food, religions, just to name a few. But everything soon started to feel more at home the more I spend my time here. Unlike most people, I was not really taken back by the heat and humidity that is common throughout the year here Florida.
